Car dealerships require quality stock on an ongoing basis, which guarantees a high level of interest in your vehicle. Your car will be displayed to a large group of interested quality dealerships who will compete to offer the highest bid through our platform.
It is swift, simple and seamless:
scheckterspeed mitigates the risk linked to out-of-hand sales – from sharing your personal details across platforms, to the verification of dealerships (buyers). We pre-approve and verify the quality all participating dealerships.
No dealership (buyer) will have access to your personal contact details until the bid is won.
We have developed the scheckterspeed platform with your information privacy and security as our top priority. All data uploaded to the scheckterspeed platform is held on a highly secure server in an encrypted database.
We adhere strictly to a non-disclosure policy as well as the POPI Act. Your personal and contact information will only be shared with the successful bidder (a pre-approved dealership) once you accept the offer. Your acceptance of the offer grants us permission to disclose your information to the specific dealership. The dealership will then contact you to conclude the safe and secure sales process.
We highly recommend that you blur out your vehicle registration number plates and/or any other personal information that might be visible before uploading your pictures, to increase your privacy and safety.
The more information you can provide, the better. You will benefit from higher bids if you are honest and transparent, providing as much detail as possible about the condition of your car (such as tyre condition, bodywork, service record, interior, past accidents, etc.). Dealerships will be more likely to bid on a vehicle with a detailed description and good-quality photographs (front, back, left, and right side and interior), because detailed information allows for more accurate pricing. Most importantly, it will eliminate any possible discrepancies during your vehicle inspection after you have accepted the offer.
You will receive an e-mail once you have submitted the application to confirm whether your application was approved or declined. The e-mail will also explain the auction process and contain your login details to view the live bidding.
Remember, cars loaded after 11:00 am weekdays, may only go on auction the following day. Cars loaded on Saturdays after 8:00 am may only be auctioned on Monday.
No, it is free to register and upload your vehicle to our virtual car showroom. Remember, the more information you supply, the more views and bids you will receive.
Your vehicle will be on display in our virtual showroom on the day of auction and will be viewed virtually by all the registered, quality dealerships. The dealerships will preview all the vehicles on auction and accompanying information in our virtual showroom before the auction commences at 11:30 am on weekdays.
Take note: stock will not be visible in the showroom from the time the auction finishes (weekdays 13:30 pm) until the following morning at 7:00 am.
You can log in on the scheckterspeed platform with your secure login to view the live auction. At the end of the two-hour auction time frame, the hammer will fall for the highest bidder. An auction will only continue if there is more than one bidder.
You will receive an e-mail notification at the conclusion of the auction to inform you whether your car was sold on auction and, if it was, what the highest bid was, the contact details of the winning bidder (quality dealership) and how the rest of the sales process works. You will have 24 hours to accept or decline the offer. The winning dealership will contact you upon your acceptance of the offer within 24 hours and arrange a vehicle inspection date and time – ideally the same day at their premises, however, you can discuss alternative arrangements with the dealership should the date, time or location not suit you.
Remember, the final offer is subject to your vehicle inspection and if the car does not match the uploaded description and details, the dealership may make a lower offer or cancel the offer.
If you decline the offer, or if the sale was unsuccessful for any other reason, you will have the option to resubmit your car for auction the following day, or it will be removed from the system within 48 hours.
Please tick the auto-renew box if you (as the private car owner) would like to resubmit your vehicle to go back on auction in the event of an unsuccessful sale. If you did not tick this box upon registration, you will have 48 hours to login to your account after any unsuccessful sale and resubmit your vehicle before it auto-deletes after 48 hours.
Once your vehicle submission has been approved you will receive personal login details giving you access to view the auction live. Your car will be on auction the same day if your application was approved before 11:00 am. If not, it may only be auctioned the following day.
Auctions take place Monday to Friday from 11:30-13:30.
Stock will not be visible in the showroom from the time the auction finishes at 13:30 until the following morning at 7:00.
The dealership will do an inspection on the vehicle to confirm that your vehicle’s details and condition were accurately described, and thereafter do all relevant paperwork and arrange the processing of the payment.
If your car does not match the uploaded information and description the dealership is under no obligation to conclude the sales process and can retract his/her offer, or the dealership can make a lower offer. You may accept or decline the adjusted offer.
Upon inspection, if the vehicle does not match the uploaded description, the offer can change. You do not have to accept the changed offer.
By accepting the offer, you are legally agreeing to sell the vehicle to the winning dealership.
If you accepted the highest bidders offer, you will receive payment (from the dealership) after your vehicle passes the dealership’s inspection and the final paperwork has been signed. The scheckterspeed pre-approved dealership will guide you through the process, step-by-step. The payment will be made in full into the bank and or registered private car owner ’s account, as agreed between the two parties (dealership and private car owner).
The transaction is between you and the winning dealership. The dealership will make payment directly to you, or the financial institution if the vehicle is still financed
